Ivan Noskevich Meets the Temporary Charge D’Affaires for the USA in the Republic of Belarus
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee Ivan Noskevich met Robert Riley, the Temporary Charge D’Affaires for the USA in the Republic of Belarus. Suggested by the American party, the meeting was due to the head of the American Embassy to Belarus finishing his diplomatic mission in our country.
The parties were happy to admit the recently established positive and mutually beneficial interaction between the Investigative Committee and the law enforcement authorities in the USA, first of all, cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in pretrial criminal procedure.
A special mention deserves collaboration of Belarusian and American law enforcement authorities to detect and investigate into delinquent activities of international cybercrime groups inflicting harm on individuals and legal persons in the Republic of Belarus, the USA, and other countries.
The attendants confirmed that both parties are interested in intensifying the efforts towards concluding a fully functional international treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases. This could ensure compliance with the principle of inevitable criminal punishment for committed crime.
Ivan Noskevich thanked Robert Riley for his personal contribution to establishing an equitable dialogue with the competent US authorities to fight international crime.
Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee wished Mr. Riley success at his new location of diplomatic service.
