Valentin Shayev elected chairman of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation
BelTA reports that the head of the Investigative Committee Valentin Shayev was elected the new chairman of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation (BVF). His candidacy was unanimously voted today by the participants of the reporting conference of BVF.
Valentin Shayev replaced Boris Batura at the post of the head of BVF, who has held it since 1999 and was re-elected four times in a row (last time in April 2011). The Chairman of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation is elected for 4 years.
Pavel Ignatov and Igor Smolyaninov were appointed deputies of the new head of the BVF. The participants of the conference also elected a new general committee, which in addition to the named executives included Nikolai Ananyev, Valery Savchenko, Sergey Shikunets Pavel Shikunets Nikolai Pozdnyak, Andrei Karpenko, Viktor Izmashkin and Olga Rakhman.
Some amendments to the Charter of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation were adopted at a meeting.
